KLANG: A 24-year-old motorcyclist died on the spot when he was hit by a car at Jalan Pelabuhan Barat (Pandamaran-Shah Alam) here today.

Klang Selatan district police chief Assistant Commissioner Shamsul Amar Ramli said the incident occurred around 6am.

The Mazda car driver and three friends were heading back home to Bandar Botanic 2 from Bukit Tabur via Jalan Pelabuhan Barat.

"They were on the right lane when the motorcyclist suddenly came out the Klang-Banting exit against traffic flow and hit the Mazda car.

"The victim sustained severe injuries to his head and his hand and thigh were severed," he said.

Shamsul said the victim's body was sent to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR) for post-mortem.
