Bus carrying Korean tourists overturns in Kuala Selangor while trying to avoid dog

KUALA SELANGOR: A group of South Korean tourists escaped unhurt when the tour bus they were travelling on skidded and overturned at Jalan Teluk Piah Kanan, here last night.

The bus was trying to avoid a dog crossing a road, which led to the accident.

The 20 Koreans had just finished touring a nearby firefly sanctuary when the incident took place at about 8.46pm.

The bus driver and a tour guide, both locals, were not hurt in the incident.

Selangor Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department chief Superintendent Kamaludin Mohamad said the tour bus driver lodged a report on the incident at 7.44am at the Kuala Selangor police traffic department today.

“Initial investigations showed that the tour bus had skidded and overturned on its own when the driver tried to avoid a dog which was crossing the road,” said Kamaludin.
