Najib's CNY video goes viral

KUALA LUMPUR: A Chinese New Year video featuring Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak is going viral on social media.

The video is set against the backdrop of the prime minister taking an MRT ride with a wheelchair-bound woman and her family members. Upon alighting from the train, Najib then joins a group of Malaysians from all walks of life in celebrating Chinese New Year.

In the video, Najib said the harmony and prosperity enjoyed by Malaysians is the result of the work put in by its people.

“As a country that prioritises unity, we all complement each other. In conjunction with Chinese New Year, let’s work towards a better future.

“Based on the spirit of Negaraku in our hearts, let us come together and help those in need,” he said.

The video, which was shared on his Facebook page, has been viewed 50,000 times to date and shared over 500 times. It is also trending on Twitter.
