Special rewards in store under PR1MA HAVEN

KUALA LUMPUR: Purchasers and those who register under the 1Malaysia People’s Housing Project (PR1MA) can enjoy special rewards via the PR1MA HAVEN mobile application.

Those who download the application and register themselves under the PR1MA scheme will receive discounts whey purchase household goods such as kitchen equipment and electrical items.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim, said the initiative can help reduce the people’s spending as homeowners.

“A large portion of household spending revolves around buying items for the home. This provides an impact on the lower-income group (B40) and middle-income group (M40).

“The programme aims to reduce the people’s burden in the process, before and after buying a house,” he said at the launch of the PR1MA HAVEN programme at the national-level Home Sale Expo at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC).

Also present were PR1MAchief executive officer, Datuk Abdul Mutalib Alias, and PR1MA chief operating officer, Datuk Ar Aminuddin Abdul Manaf.

Shahidan said since the application has been downloaded 52,000 times since it was rolled out in February.

The application also offers more than 100 branded and high-quality household goods and appliances.

The expo, which began on Saturday until April 1, will serve as a one-stop centre for prospective home-buyers, particularly the B40 and M40 groups.

It is organised by various Federal and state housing agencies including Perbadanan PR1MA Malaysia (PR1MA); the Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Ministry; Syarikat Perumahan Negara Bhd (SPNB); Rumah Wilayah Persekutuan (RUMAWIP); 1Malaysia Housing Projects for Civil Servants (PPA1M); and state governments.

The expo offers around 600,000 affordable housing units through almost 100 PR1MA exhibition booths from all states, RUMAWIP and housing projects under government agencies.

Various financial institutions are also participating in the expo, including the Credit Counseling and Debt Management Agency (AKPK), National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN), as well as bank representatives who are available to guide prospective buyers through the housing purchase process.

To date, PR1MA HAVEN features 27 strategic brand partners, with the number expected to increase.
