WATCH: Video of woman's narrow escape from suspected robber goes viral

KUALA LUMPUR: A netizen’s video of how she was almost robbed at a shopping mall carpark has gone viral.

In a Facebook posting, Suki Yap narrated how she was driving alone at the lower ground basement car park of a shopping mall in Kepong when the incident happened.

After parking her car at the car park, she noticed a man behaving suspiciously while leaning against a nearby pillar.

She said the man appeared to be drunk.

The situation made her feel uneasy and she began to worry about her safety.

A few minutes later, the man walked towards her car and tried to open the locked door by force.

She decided to drive away. But, after driving around the car park she decided to go back to the spot to take a photo of the man but he was gone.

Yap is convinced that the man had been targeting lone women.

She expressed hope that her video posting would remind women to be cautious in any situation.

Yap said they should always lock their vehicles and stay inside in such situations.

At the time of writing, her 90-second video clip had been viewed 147,000 times.
