Four girls injured in Subang Jaya tahfiz school fire

KUALA LUMPUR: A girl suffered burns and three of her schoolmates experienced breathing difficulties when the kitchen of their tahfiz caught fire this evening.

The incident occurred at a premises at Jalan USJ1/2, Taman Subang Mewah, when 12 girls and their ustazah were in the midst of preparing dinner.

The Subang Jaya Fire Station received a distress call on the incident at 7.14pm, and four engines with 14 firemen were immediately deployed to the scene.

"When we arrived, we saw that the gas hose was detached from the gas cylinder. (This) caused the kitchen fire.
