GEORGE TOWN: Those who want to have a meal at Deen Maju nasi kandar restaurant here but do not want to line up can buy the all-new Pepsi Black for RM1 and the promoters will queue up for you.
This is the creative initiative by Always ePromode to promote the newly-launched Pepsi drink.
“This is a two-day promotion which began yesterday and we will conclude it by tonight.
“We got to know that this is one of the popular restaurants in Penang where people will be willing to queue up just to enjoy that plate of nasi kandar.
“The response has been overwhelming as we have sold 30 cartons of the Pepsi yesterday, and we believe we can sell the same today as well,” said the company’s spokesperson outside the Deen Maju Nasi Kandar restaurant here today.
Once customers reach the restaurant and start queuing up, the promoter will approach them and offer them the RM1 Pepsi Black and then queue up on their behalf.
After the customers have make their purchase, they can go straight into the restaurant and wait until they are called upon by the same promoter to make their order.
Zaihasri Mokhtarol Zaidi, 18, said this was an innovative method to grab customer attention, and at the same time, promote the Pepsi drink.
“This is really great. However, I am a bit sad that this is only for two days, just wish they can be here a little longer or maybe during weekends,” he said.
