PUTRAJAYA: Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Mohamed Hanipa Maidin fainted while attending the department's monthly gathering here today.
Those present gasped in horror when they saw him fell from the stage during Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's speech this morning.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa, who were standing nearby, rushed to assist Hanipa.
Wan Azizah was seen attending to the deputy minister while waiting for the paramedics to arrive.
After being given first aid, Hanipa was rushed to Putrajaya Hospital for further treatment.
