LAHAD DATU: A 500kg crocodile was captured by police and civil defence personnel at Felda Sahabat 16 beach, here, around 6pm yesterday.
The 4.5m-long and 2.1m-wide reptile, was taken to the Civil Defence personnel office at Felda Sahabat.
State Wildlife Department director Augustine Tuuga said: “The initial report indicated that the crocodile had eaten a dog at the beach before it was caught.
“The reptile, which is at a Civil Defence office now, will be handed over to us,” he said.
