ALOR SETAR: Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim has been laid to rest at the As Saadah Mosque Muslim Cemetery in Kampung Tebengau, Kuala Kedah at about 1.45pm today.
Family members, relatives as well as hundreds of locals paid their last respects to Adib at the funeral.
A sombre atmosphere and gloomy weather engulfed the funeral which was managed to be carried out smoothly.
Earlier, Adib’s remains were flown in by a Fire and Rescue Department helicopter from the Fire and Rescue Department Air Base (JBPM) in Subang, Selangor.
Also present to pay their last respects to Adib were Sungai Petani MP Datuk Johari Abdul, Ministry of Housing and Local Government secretary-general Datuk Seri Mohammad Mentek, as well as Fire and Rescue Department leaders and personnel.
Meanwhile, Johari urged for the investigation into Adib’s death to be given a priority since it has raised so many speculations.
“This is to ensure that the public, who are waiting for the development of the case, can get some answers on what really happened to Adib,” he said. – BERNAMA
