Two children killed, five hurt in horrific car-bus collision on NSE

SEREMBAN: A boy and girl were killed and five others seriously injured when the car they were travelling in collided with a bus at Km 265.6 of the North-South Expressway (NSE) near Bandar Ainsdale here, at about 2am today.

A woman, another girl and three boys who were also in the Proton Pesona, which was en route from Kuala Lumpur to Seremban, were seriously injured.

According to Negri Sembilan Fire and Rescue chief Norazam Khamis, the woman driver had tried to avoid colliding with a motorcycle, but lost control of the vehicle, which skidded and slammed in the road divider and spun several times before being rammed by the bus.

He said the deceased girl and boy were flung out of the car and killed on the spot.

The driver and 29 passengers of the bus, meanwhile, were unhurt.

Norazam added that the bodies and the injured were sent to the Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital.

The identities and ages of the victims have not been ascertained.
