MAS unveils new product offerings and new ticketing store

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airlines has unveiled the second phase of its brand promise of Malaysian Hospitality, with new products offerings designed to enhance the overall travel experience and offering more direct benefits to travellers.

The first Malaysian Hospitality campaign which was launched last year, established MAS as the first taste of Malaysian Hospitality for travellers. Since then, significant improvements have been seen on products and services, including the best of Malaysian cuisine, an improved website and mobile app with enhanced speeds and a more intuitive web booking experience, as well as a revamped Golden Lounge with a more contemporary and luxurious look and feel.

The next level for the campaign will see the Malaysian Hospitality experience extended beyond just flight tickets. It includes a new app called MHassistant, which offers additional features that looks beyond just the flights.

Through the app, guests travelling with Malaysia Airlines will be able to download MHvouchers that can be used on a host of exciting experiences which includes cuisine and shopping.

“Last year, we launched Malaysian Hospitality which was anchored around our services and product offerings. This year we are taking to the next level where we bring more benefits to the entire travelling eco-system.

“Our guests can enjoy Malaysian Hospitality beyond what the airline offers. It now includes the entire country via our app MHassistant, which includes great offers via our partners, from restaurants, shopping, cultural experiences and a whole host of unique Malaysian experiences,” said Malaysia Airlines group chief marketing and customer experience officer Lau Yin May at the brand launch recently.

The brand launch was accompanied by a new video which was unveiled at the airline’s brand new ticketing store in Nu Sentral Kuala Lumpur.

Lau said the new ticketing office is a reflection of Malaysian Hospitality and offers a refreshed experience for guests.

“Located at the hub of transportation of the city, the office is more convenient and accessible for our guests, who can also take the opportunity to take home the airline group’s branded merchandise, including exclusive aircraft models and lifestyle items.

“Also in the pipeline is a holiday package product that will enable passengers to tailor-make their own holidays with the combination of flights, accommodation and other destination partners to ensure their vacations truly reflect Malaysia and the country's unique Malaysian Hospitality," she added.
