Ainul Mardhiah doing well in London

KUALA LUMPUR: Ainul Mardhiah Ahmad Safiuddin who is currently being treated at a children's hospital in London is doing well.

The good news was shared by her father, Ahmad Safiuddin Ahmad Razak, 24, via a Facebook post today.

"Ainul is healthy today. She just took a bath," he said briefly, accompanied with a photo of the toddler and her mother, Nurul Erwani Zaidi.

Ainul Mardhiah who is nine-months-old suffers from a rare form of cancer known as germ cell tumor which affects her mouth and her suffering has touched the hearts of many when it made headlines recently.

It was earlier reported that several specialists are expected to assess Ainul Mardhiah's condition this week.

Experts in child oncology will discuss to find the best treatment for Ainul Mardhiah who left for London with her parents last week.

Dr Nur Amalina Che Bakri, a UK-based Malaysian surgeon, also shared an Instagram posting on Ainul Mardhiah’s arrival in London over the weekend.

Dr Nur Amalina had previously appealed for help on social media to bring Ainul Mardhiah to London for treatment after a course of chemotherapy failed to control the bright red tumour growing in the girl’s mouth.

Born prematurely at seven months, Ainul Mardhiah was diagnosed with the cancer at her birth.
