Dr M: Govt will repay the people for placing their faith in PH

KULIM: The government will repay the people for the faith they placed in Pakatan Harapan (PH) during the 14th General Election last year.

Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said this will done through the introduction of a new policy which would ensure the prosperity of all Malaysians.

“PH has pledged that it would share the nation’s wealth with the people and the government has introduced a new policy, which is prosperity for all”.

The Prime Minister said the new policy could be realised, so long as the people continue to support all the plans lined up by the PH government.

“This is our intention, to ensure that no one is left behind... if they (the rakyat) are willing to undertake the task which is being planned by the government.

“The agriculture sector which has many poor people will see a new approach, rural areas will enjoy prosperity as it is the case with the urban areas. This is our promise,” he said.

Dr Mahathir said this at the national-level Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Aidilfitri Open House here on Saturday night.

Approximately 20,000 people attended the open house held at the MBI Desaku Convention Hall, here.

Also present were Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Tun Dr Mahathir.

Dr Mahathir who is the Bersatu chairman said despite allegations that nothing was achieved after the PH took over the country’s administration, the facts proved otherwise.

“We would not be able to see this country being at peace if its not due to the achievement and approach taken by PH.

“We have solved many problems left by the previous ruling party and we believe that our country will recover soon”.

Dr Mahathir adds that though the nation’s governance now is not yet effective, nevertheless it is much more effective then it was in the past.

He adds that with the eradication of corruption, the nation would progress further and the people’s lives would become much better.

“The new government, despite being called inefficient, is actually more efficient than the previous one, and with the eradication of corruption, the country will be further developed and the people will be able to live a better life,” he said.
