Nora Quoirin's family in Ireland sets up GoFundMe account

KUALA LUMPUR: The family of Nora Anne Quoirin has launched a GoFundMe page as the search continues for the missing London schoolgirl in Seremban.

Created yesterday, the page has now collected £18,455 via 379 donors.

Organised by the Agnew family in Belfast, Northern Ireland

The Agnews are related to Nora Anne's mother, Meabh Quoirin, who is the co-owner and CEO of Foresight Factory.

"More family members are travelling to Malaysia to participate in the search and rescue effort and would appreciate donations to cover any unforeseen expenses or charges incurred in the process," the family said on the GoFundMe page.

Meanwhile, Nora Anne's father, Sebastien Quoirin also shared the GoFundMe page on his LinkedIn profile.

"Our 15-year-old daughter Nora has now been missing for 3 days in Seremban, 1h30 south of Kuala Lumpur. She may have been abducted. Please help and support us to find her," Sebastien posted.

Aisling Agnew, Nora Anne's aunt, posted about her missing niece on Aug 4 on Twitter.

"Urgent. Please help and share. My niece (Nora Quoirin) has gone missing in Seremban an hour or so from KL in Malaysia. She is 15 with special needs, and hasn't been seen since everyone went to bed last night," she wrote.

Another relative Eadaoin Agnew posted on Twitter that he is "heading out there now" to a question of whether there have been any news on Nora Anne.

"Nothing Clare. I'm heading out there now," Eadaoin said on Aug 5.

Maebh, Nora Anne's mother is listed as a bi-lingual and experienced public speaker on Foresight Factory's website. The family, together with father Sebastien Quoirin and two other siblings of Nora Anne's are on a holiday in Malaysia.

They checked into the The Dusun Resort in Seremban, where Nora Anne disappeared from her room on Sunday morning.

Police have said it was too early to conclude that the missing teenager, who has learning disabilities, was kidnapped or abducted.

At present, police are treating the case as that of a missing person.
