BANGI: The Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG) of Sekolah Kebangsaan Bandar Seri Putra (SKBSP) in Bangi will hold a gala in conjunction of its ten years of establishment since June 29, 2009.
The main objective is to raise funds to upgrade the facilities of the school's main hall and also to give better education and a more conducive environment to students.
Project Secretary, Nurmastura Abdullah said the funds will be raises by selling tickets for the "Sedekad" gala night and special premium items targeting corporate agencies, individuals, parents, traders in Bandar Seri Putra, teachers and students.
School headmaster Mohamad Jamil Yahaya said he was surprised with the impressive support from the sales of tickets for the gala night.
“A total of 37 tables were sold and we achieved a total of RM51,000. The entire profit from the sales will be fully utilized for the student’s benefit,” he said
PIBG president Major (R) Baharuddin Abd Gapar said this was the second major programme of the year after the school's Musollathon event in which RM505,386.80 was raised for the construction of a new surau.
During the gala night, students of the school will stage various performances.
Apart from that, comedian Achey and young singer As’ad Motawh will entertain the 400 guests expected to attend the gala night.
