The media reported yesterday that Nora Anne's parents, Sebastian Marie Philip and Maebh Quoirin had filed a suit against the operator of The Dusun, which was their vacation home here in August last year.

According to the lawsuit, they claimed that the operator had failed to ensure the security of the premises, did not install and maintain CCTV cameras, and did not maintain and secure the latch of a window in the rooms where the family stayed.

The family is represented by lawyer Sankara Nair and the civil suit was filed in the Seremban District Court with the first management of the case is reported to start on Jan 21.

Nora Anne was reported missing from the resort in Jalan Pantai on Aug 4, before her body was found 10 days later beside a stream, about 2.5km from her accommodation.

A post-mortem conducted on the teenager found that she had died of internal bleeding, probably caused by hunger and stress.
