Boy beats up schoolmate, netizens furious as video goes viral

KUALA LUMPUR: A video of a boy beating up his peer in a school classroom has angered social media users, who urged authorities to take immediate action.

In the 54-second video, a boy clad in black T-shirt and shorts was seen repeatedly kicking, slapping and pushing another, who appeared to be his classmate.

The attacker was cheered on by more than 10 boys, who unfortunately did nothing to stop the incident, while the boy who was beaten up did not fight back.

It was believed to have taken place in Kelantan based on the dialect heard in the video.

It is unknown when the incident took place.

The video, which was uploaded on Jabatan Netizen Malaysia's Facebook page, has been viewed over 400,000 times and received more than 18,000 shares.

Enraged social media users had asked the police to act speedily, leaving the police's hashtags at the end of their comments.

Mohd Teii Teii said: "Whose child is this behaving like that? Showing off hooliganism. The father of this boy please know what is happening."

Arnida Badarudin said: "Pity the boy who got beaten up. Please investigate and report to the police fast. Haul up the person who recorded this video and his friends to the police station, including the bully."

Murni Ilmawati said: "What is happening to this kid? I hope you repent. Remember, what you do unto others will be done unto you."
