PUTRAJAYA: Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 15 new Covid-19 infections were reported, while 21 patients have recovered and discharged as of noon today.

"For the 13 local transmissions, one was from a pre-operation screening at Serdang Hospital and 12 were linked to the Pedas cluster in Negri Sembilan.

"The 12 are four Bangladeshis, three Indonesians, two Nepalis, two from Myanmar and two Cambodians who were tested positive during the second swab test at the quarantine centre," he said at the daily Covid-19 press conference, here, today.

Currently, two patients are being treated at the intensive care unit and none required ventilator support.
