TEMCO: EPF to close Lahad Datu, Tawau offices

KUALA LUMPUR: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) will temporarily close its Lahad Datu and Tawau offices and counters from tomorrow until further notice.

This follows the Targeted Enhanced Movement Control Order

(TEMCO) announced in four areas in Sabah, namely Lahad Datu, Tawau, Kunak, and Semporna.

"All prior Janji Temu Online (JTO) appointments at the Lahad Datu and Tawau offices will, therefore, be cancelled with immediate effect.

"Those who have made appointments to visit the Lahad Datu and Tawau offices during the TEMCO period will have to reschedule their appointments after the control order is lifted," a statement from EPF said.

It urged members and employers to opt for EPF's online services, i-Akaun (Member) and i-Akaun (Employer), which are operating as usual.

"Payment for contributions can still be made through Internet banking or over the counter at registered bank agents.

"Members and employers are advised to obtain information only from the EPF's official channels.

"For any clarification, please contact EPF's Contact Management Centre at 03-8922 6000."
