Tok Pa tests positive for Covid-19, hospitalised in Kota Baru

KUALA LUMPUR: Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Economy) Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed tested positive for Covid-19 last night.

In a statement today, his office said the Jeli Member of Parliament underwent Covid-19 screening when he arrived in Kota Baru, Kelantan from here on Saturday morning.

"He has been isolated and was admitted to the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital (HRPZ II) in Kota Baru, Kelantan, at 10.30pm yesterday for close monitoring by health and medical staff.

"He is reported to be in stable condition," read the statement.

Prior to this, Mustapa underwent Covid-19 screening on Jan 1, returning a negative result.

"Datuk Seri Mustapa has expressed his apologies for causing any difficulty as a result of this development," the statement said.
