KUALA LUMPUR: The nation recorded 46 Covid-19 deaths today.
Yesterday, Malaysia recorded 47 Covid-19 deaths, the highest since the pandemic hit the country.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the cumulative death toll now stood at 2,040.
"Currently, 559 Covid-19 patients are receiving treatment at Intensive Care Units (ICU) nationwide, with 303 on respiratory support," he said today.
Meanwhile, the number of Covid-19 patients who have recovered and been discharged from hospitals as of noon today stood at 3,516 bringing the total number of recoveries to 436,116 (89.83 per cent).
