All MITI letters currently being used will expire May 31

KUALA LUMPUR: All travel permission letters issued by the International Trade and Industry Ministry (MITI) being used by the people to travel for work presently will expire May 31.

From June 1, these letters will be invalid to cross district and state borders even for work.

This was announced by senior minister (security cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob on the standard operating procedures (SOP) for the total lockdown which will come into effect from June 1 to June 14.

From June 1 onwards, travel permission letters for work matters would be issued by the relevant ministries.
