T'ganu infectivity rate highest in the country at 1.36

KUALA LUMPUR: Terengganu has recorded the highest infectivity rate (Rt) at 1.36 in the country as of July 29.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Malaysia infectivity rate currently stood at an Rt value of 1.15.

There are two other states with Rt value above 1.2 – Kelantan at 1.27 followed by Sabah 1.22.

Other states with above Rt 1.0 value were Johor (1.18), Penang (1.18), Perak (1.18), Pahang (1.15), Putrajaya (1.15), Kuala Lumpur (1.14), Selangor (1.10), Sarawak (1.07) and Melaka (1.04).

Only Negri Sembilan and Labuan recorded values under Rt 1.0 at 0.98 and 0.68 respectively, while Perlis recorded zero Rt value.
