KUALA LUMPUR: A video recording of a reunion between a man and his mother after 48 years of being separated touched the hearts of many netizens on Tikok since yesterday.
The video posted by the man's wife, Eyda Badri showed the 48-year old man from Seri Kembangan, Selangor going to Machap, Johor to meet his biological mother for the very first time since birth.
The man Ahmad Suffian Mohd Shafie was allegedly separated from his mother after he was born and never met her.
During the reunion, Suffian asked his mother whether she recognises him from the mole on his face to which the woman in her late 60s replied in the negative.
He then mentions his late father Mohd Shafie @ Piyee's name and another person by the name of Suffian.
She immediately responded to the name Piyee, saying that he was her former husband.
She then went on to say that she has a son with Shafie , and the boy's name is Suffian. She said that she was separated after giving birth to the boy 48 years ago.
She continues to explain that Suffian was taken to Perak after she gave birth. She keeps saying this while still not realising that the person speaking to her was Suffian.
Suffian then goes on to show his identification card, and points to the face on the IC and himself.
"Isn't it not me?"
His mother immediately becomes emotional and burst into tears.
Despite his mother still in tears, both mother and son share a happy moment together.
A person in the background is also heard saying, "48 years", which is the number of years they were separated.
The video touched many netizens' hearts.
A TikTok user chekna2020 wrote:" Alhamdulilah, I am also feeling very emotional. Alhamdulilah, they finally meet."
CikZirah complimented Suffian's wife for helping in the search for her husband's mother after all these years.
"So nice of the wife... for being together with him in his search".
