KUALA LUMPUR: A 12-year-old boy impaled himself in the buttocks which is reported to be six-inch-deep after trying to climb a metal fence.
The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said the victim had to endure the pain for about 20 minutes before firemen arrived at the scene at Jalan 5, Taman Seri Sungai Besar.
"The Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call of the incident at 6.25pm, today.
"They arrived at 6.38pm and found a 12-year-old boy stuck on a metal spike from a fence.
"The victim was carried into an ambulance with the spike still attached and taken to the Sabak Bernam Hospital," he said.
The spokesman stated that neighbours found the boy as his mother was not at home when the incident happened.
"According to information from the victim's neighbours, he was often seen playing on the fence."
