KOTA BARU: Media Prima Bhd bagged 12 awards at the Kelantan Media Awards (MAKK) 2023 here last night.
Harian Metro reporter Syaherah Mustafa won first place for Best Reporting (print and online) with her article titled 'Sampai Sana Bulu Roma Meremang'.
In the same category, New Straits Times and Berita Harian reporters Sharifah Mahsinah Syed Abdullah and Nor Fazlina Abdul Rahim won fourth and fifth place in the awards organised by the Kelantan Media Club.
Harian Metro reporter Siti Rohana Idris and the New Straits Times Press photographer Nik Abdullah Nik Omar came in third and fourth respectively.
Nik Abdullah also won first place for Best Photo.
Kelantan TV3 dan TV9 won several categories which included the state Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry category .
TV3 cameraman Ahmad Faris Abdul Halim also won the first and second place for the Best TV Special Report, while another TV3 cameraman Nor Akmaliah Razak won fifth place for the Best Visual TV award.
The first prize winners of all categories received RM5,000, second (RM3,000), third (RM1,000), fourth (RM500).and fifth (RM500).
The winners also received certificates and a plaque each.
