KAJANG: Two people were injured after they were thrown off the car they were travelling in, which was involved in an accident near the Kajang toll plaza of the North-South Expressway here early today.
Also injured during the 5.07am accident was the driver of the BMW after he was pinned to his seat following the impact of the accident.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department operations assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said a team of nine rescuers from the Kajang Fire and Rescue station was deployed to the scene after the department was alerted on the incident.
"The rescue team took about four minutes to extricate the driver pinned to the seat of the vehicle," Ahmad Mukhlis said in a statement.
The case, said Ahmad Mukhlis, has been handed to the Health Ministry for further action.
