JOHOR BARU: The Sultan of Johor graciously accepted an homage (mengadap takzim) from the state government executive members and the Johor Royal Court council members, in commemoration of his 65th birthday tomorrow.
His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar held the audience at Istana Bukit Serene's audience hall, near here, today.
Accompanying the ruler was his son Johor crown prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim.
Among the distinguished attendees were Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, State Secretary Tan Sri Dr Azmi Rohani, and Johor Royal Council president Datuk Rahim Ramli.
Also present at the audience was Johor State Assembly speaker Datuk Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi.
Subsequently, the ruler also received homage from the district officers, which took place at Istana Polo, in Istana Pasir Pelangi.
