KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today confirmed Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali as the new Domestic Trade and Costs of Living Minister.
This appointment solidifies Armizan's position at the helm of the ministry, a role he assumed following the unfortunate passing of Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub in July.
Salahuddin had been diagnosed with a brain haemorrhage.
Anwar had informed reporters in November that he already had a candidate in mind for the Domestic Trade and Costs of Living minister post.
Armizan, the minister in Prime Minister's Department (Sabah, Sarawak Affairs and Special Functions), had been assigned to oversee the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry on July 30.
