Upcoming badminton tournament to be held with Kota Kinabalu's 24th anniversary as a city

KOTA KINABALU: Local badminton enthusiasts are expected to gear up for the fourth edition of the Mayor's Cup Badminton Championship, coinciding with the 24th Anniversary of Kota Kinabalu's city status.

According to a Facebook post by Dewan Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu, the tournament is scheduled to take place from March 1 to 3 at the Kota Kinabalu Community Hall.

The post mentioned opportunities for competitors to win cash prizes, with the champion slated to receive RM1,300, followed by RM1,000 for the first runner-up and RM800 each for the joint third-place winners.

The Mayor's Cup Badminton Championship invites players of all levels to participate in this year's tournament.
