MELAKA: The city is casting a wide net to fishing enthusiasts with the lucrative Sungai Melaka fishing competition, which aligns with the Visit Melaka Year 2024.
This competitive event is scheduled to reel in participants on Feb 25 at the scenic banks of Sungai Melaka.
A Facebook post by Tourism Melaka revealed that the contest will offer substantial cash prizes, with the champion poised to win RM30,000, followed by RM7,000 for the first runner-up and RM3,000 for the second runner-up. Additional prizes range from RM150 to RM500 for places fourth to twentieth.
