MACC probe into KFA graft case in final stage

PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is nearing the end of its investigation into the RM6 million graft case involving the Kedah Football Association (KFA).

MACC Investigation Division senior director Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Hashim however said that he was unable to reveal the details of the investigation since it contained information deemed confidential and sensitive.

"To complete investigations into the case, MACC has summoned Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Noor to our headquarters here this morning," he said in a statement today.

It was reported earlier today that a car carrying the Kedah Menteri Besar was spotted entering the compound of the MACC headquarters here at 8.30am.

The same car, a silver-coloured Mercedes, was later seen leaving the premises about three hours later.

Efforts to get comments from Sanusi over the development today proved futile after the car he was in did not stop for a door-stop interview.
