Transport Ministry: First report on Kapar air crash in 30 days

KUALA LUMPUR: A preliminary report on the light aircraft crash near Kampung Tok Muda, Kapar, yesterday is expected to be ready in 30 days.

The Transport Ministry said the Air Accident Investigation Bureau has initiated a technical probe.

It also said a full report would be produced in a year.

Two people on the plane, a BK 160 Gabriel, were killed.

Klang Utara district police chief Assistant Commissioner S. Vijaya Rao said the authorities have identified two "crash locations" — the point of impact and the debris field.

He said parts of a wing were found 500 metres away from the main crash site.
