Woman found dead in car was taking care of sick father in hospital

IPOH: The woman who was found dead in a locked car in the parking lot at Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun here, was taking care of her sick father at the hospital.

Ipoh district police chief Assistant Commissioner Yahaya Hassan said investigations found that the victim was looking after her sick father in the hospital and she was believed to have gotten into the car to rest without opening the car's windows, reported Bernama.

"The case is classified as sudden death (SDR) pending a post-mortem examination scheduled for today," he said in a statement today.

Yahaya said police received information from a security guard that a woman was unconscious and suspected to have died in a car at the hospital parking lot.

He said, the preliminary investigations found that the victim was found lying in the back seat of the locked car. The fire department was able to open the victim's car door using special equipment.

Yesterday, Perak Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Director of Operations Division Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said the 20-year-old victim was given initial treatment by medical officers at the scene of the incident and was later pronounced dead.
