PUTRAJAYA: The federal and state governments will hold a special meeting on the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JSSEZ) on Feb 28.
Government spokesman Fahmi Fadzil said the meeting would discuss expediting the special economic zone.
He said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim would chair the meeting with Johor Menteri Besar Onn Hafiz Ghazi and officials from several ministries.
Among them ministries involved are the Transport; Investment, Trade and Industry; Economy; Home and Finance Ministries.
"The prime minister has stressed that there should be an overall coordination, hence a meeting between the state government and federal government would be held on Feb 28 to assess a number of matters," Fahmi, who is communications minister, said at a press conference today.
He said border issues and the location of the JSSEZ would be among the matters discussed.
