PM, defence minister monitoring LTAT situation following exodus of three top officials

PUTRAJAYA: The prime minister and defence minister are monitoring situation at the Armed Forces Fund Board (LTAT), following the resignations of three of its leaders over the past month.

Unity government spokesman Fahmi Fadzil said the cabinet had, however, not yet received the latest update on the status of LTAT.

"The matter of the resignation of the three LTAT leaders was not dicussed in today's cabinet meeting.

"We have not received any latest update on the status but I believe the prime minister and defence minister are scrutinising the issue and will announce updates from time to time," he told reporters.

It was reported that the board's senior director of strategy, Dayana Rogayah Omar, 39, was the latest to tender her resignation.

Her resignation was the third since Defence Minister Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin had announced that LTAT's Strategic Plan 2023-2025 had been put on hold.

Dayana's departure follows that of chief executive officer Datuk Ahmad Nazim Abd Rahman on Jan 31 and chairman General (Rtd) Tan Sri Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor on Feb 8.
