Police looking for men linked to brawl in Kuching

KUALA LUMPUR: The police are looking for a group of individuals believed to be involved in a fight at a car park in Jalan Batu Kawa, Kuching, Sarawak after a video went viral on social media.

In the video, several individuals were seen arguing in a public area before a man took out a parang from his car.

Padawan police chief Superintendent Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said several suspects have been identified.

He said an operation has been carried out by the Sarawak police headquarters' personnel to apprehend those involved.

"The police did not receive any reports, but the Criminal Investigations Department of the Padawan police headquarters has lodged an official complaint for investigation purposes."

"The case is being investigated under Section 6(1) of the Explosive Substances and Offensive Weapons Act 1958," he said in a Facebook posting from the Royal Malaysia Police's official page.
