PASIR GUDANG: A foreign contracted road worker was killed when an e-hailer driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into him along Jalan Senibong, here, today.
Fire and Rescue Department operation commander Shafie Don said the 52-year-old Perodua Alza driver is believed to have skidded prior to crashing into the worker while he was repairing the roads at 6:35 am.
The impact of the crash resulted in the victim being trapped underneath the Alza.
It took the rescuers about 30 minutes to free the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene by the accompanying medical assistant.
