ALOR STAR: A man suffered serious injuries when his car crashed into a railing of the North-South Expressway (Plus) near the Alor Star toll plaza exit today.
Pendang Fire and Rescue station chief Muhammad Ezzat Emran Ezani said a team of rescuers was dispatched to the scene after being notified of the incident at 12.34pm.
"The crash involved a Proton Iswara Aeroback and the driver was trapped in the vehicle.
"The rescuers used special tools to extricate the 35-year-old victim and he was immediately rushed to the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in an ambulance," he said.
