BALING: The Civil Defence Force has captured a 50kg python that had eaten a goat in Kampung Sungai Limau here at noon today.
Baling Civil Defence Force officer Lieutenant Mohd Faizol Ab Aziz said the 4.5m-long reptile, with a distended stomach, was found motionless by the breeder, who alerted the agency.
"A Civil Defence Force team was despatched to the scene upon being notified of the matter.
"The breeder, Hamidah, said she spotted the python this morning upon checking on her goat pen," he said in a statement.
Faizol added that the reptile was sent to the Baling Civil Defence Force office before being handed over to the Wildlife and National Parks Department.
