Sri Aman to welcome 126 new homes in Taman Harmoni

SIMANGGANG: Taman Harmoni is set to see the construction of 126 new homes across two housing projects, the Sarawak Public Communications Unit reported.

These upcoming residential projects, announced by Sarawak Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, and Local Government Development Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, will be spearheaded by the Housing Development Corporation (HDC), aiming to meet the growing demand for quality housing in Sri Aman.

"This initiative is a testament to our commitment to improving the living standards of the people in Sri Aman, enabling them to expand their residences within a conducive environment," Hollis said during an earlier briefing on the HDC housing initiative.

Highlighting the comprehensive planning involved, the Deputy Minister elaborated that the second housing project would not only focus on constructing homes but also prioritise the development of essential infrastructure. This includes the installation of efficient drainage systems and the beautification of the surroundings through landscaping efforts, ensuring residents enjoy both comfort and aesthetics.

Also, Hollis revealed future plans for the expansion of Sri Aman's housing landscape. An ambitious proposal is in place to develop additional housing projects on over 17 hectares of land in Kampung Muhibbah, promising more opportunities for homeownership in the region.
