KUALA LUMPUR: The wife of a policeman who died in the Kapit boat tragedy has paid tribute to her husband.

"Thank you for being the best husband," Anis Nur Ezzati said in a Facebook post, following the recovery of her husband, Iskandar Ibrahim's body earlier today.

The constable had been missing for nine days after the boat he and four others were on capsized in a river in Kapit, Sarawak.

Iskandar,28, was the last victim to be found. Three others died in the accident while one person was rescued.

In her post, Anis said she accepted Iskandar's passing and was confident that her husband would have a place in heaven.

"May you find peace in heaven. My time will come.

"You will always be the person I love the most in life. I know that no one will ever replace you."

In the incident at about 5pm on March 7, a boat carrying five individuals capsized in Sungai Batang Baleh near the SK Lepong Baleh jetty.

One person was rescued by civilians while Iskandar another policeman and two others were swept away by strong currents.
