Dr Mahathir discharged from IJN

KUALA LUMPUR: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has been discharged from the National Heart Institute (IJN) after being admitted since Jan 26.

He was warded at IJN to undergo treatment for infection and observation.

In a statement issued by his office, the former prime minister was said to have been discharged at 11.30am.

Dr Mahathir had last week wished all Muslims a blessed fasting month and Ramadan and also expressed gratitude to everyone who prayed for his health and well-being".

"Alhamdulillah, my health condition is improving thanks to the prayers and diligent efforts of the doctors, nurses, and staff at IJN," he said in a statement then.
