Police launch probe into threats against socks distributor

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have opened an investigation into threats made by certain parties against the controversial socks distributor company, Xin Jian Chang Sdn Bhd.

Federal Police Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain said the investigation had yet to be completed. 

"Yes, we have opened an investigation. Anything related to the 3R (race, religion, and royalty), particularly the KK Mart (stockings controversy). 

"But the investigation is still ongoing," he said in a press conference. 

Previously, it was reported that the company received a threat that their factory would be burned down.
