NILAI: Two individuals lost their lives following an accident between a car and a truck on Bukit Mantin Road, earlier this morning.
It is learnt that in the incident around 10.20am, the victims were reportedly trapped inside a BMW car, which was engulfed in flames.
Mantin Fire and Rescue Department operations commander Muhammad Efeendy Rahmad said they received a call about the incident at 10.25am before rushing to the scene.
"When the firefighters arrived 10 minutes later, they found a car engulfed in flames. We conducted firefighting operations and successfully controlled the fire five minutes later.
"The BMW car was completely burned and two unidentified victims believed to have been trapped inside the vehicle were found," he said when contacted today.
He said the firefighters conducted operations approximately an hour later, followed by procedures to extricate the victims and hand them over to the police.
"We were informed that the car collided with a truck owned by (a private company) which was carrying three individuals, before catching fire.
"The three victims in the lorry suffered minor injuries and were taken to Tuanku Jaafar Hospital, Seremban, using an Emergency Medical Rescue Services vehicle," he said.
