KUALA LUMPUR: Muslim worshippers attending Aidilfitri prayers in Malaysia on Wednesday (April 10) expressed well-wishes to those celebrating the religious day in Gaza in the shadows of war.

Speaking during an Eid family gathering, 63-year-old Azmi Anshar described the situation in Gaza as "hell on earth", and praised Palestinians' "indomitable spirit" in the ongoing conflict.

Jazzlan, 31, called for Muslims to stand in solidarity with the Palestinians during the Eid celebration.

"Keep our brothers and sisters in our prayers, and fight for peace," he said.

Millions of Muslims around the world are observing Eid, marking the end of the fasting month of Ramadan, with festivities, feasts and family gatherings.
