GEORGE TOWN: It was a chaotic scene outside the City Stadium here last night as scores of football supporters from Penang and Kedah were involved in a confrontation of sorts after the Super League match between both teams.
The situation turned even more tense with the exchange of blows between both teams.
It is learnt that the incident is caused by provocation between both sides.
Video footage of the incident has since gone viral on social media.
Kedah won 2-1 against Penang in the match.
Northeast district police chief Assistant Commissioner Soffian Santong will be issuing a statement later today.
