KUALA LUMPUR: The behaviour of an individual on the Kelana Jaya Light Rail Transit (LRT) has received a lot of attention on TikTok for blatantly flouting rules and causing discomfort to other fellow commuters.
In the video with over 48,000 views shared by user @teachercalvintan, the individual can be seen openly defying guidelines as he nonchalantly indulges in eating while leaving behind a trail of mess inside the train.
The individual not only ignored the no-eating policy on the LRT but also occupied three seats with his personal belongings, leaving other passengers with limited options for seating.
What shocked the viewers, was when the person took off his shoes, seemingly oblivious to the discomfort and annoyance he was causing to those around him.
In the comments section, Rapid KL, the company operating the LRT system, extended their apologies to commuters for any inconvenience caused by such behaviour.
Eating is indeed not allowed on the train. If such incidents happen again, please inform us of the train number immediately, so that we can take swift action.
We apologise for any discomfort caused, and we will continuously monitor to prevent such incidents from recurring.
The footage which has since gone viral has received numerous comments from users expressing frustration and concern about the lack of etiquette displayed.
User @yuganathanerusiaponudor0 commented: That person needs to respect the other passengers on the train.
Another TikTok user, @mrgilgamesh, pointed out that CCTV cameras were installed inside the train, and if RapidKL failed to take action, improvements should not be expected.
