KUALA LUMPUR: An animal welfare organisation has placed a reward of RM5,000 for individuals who can provide crucial information on the deaths of over 15 kittens at the Jerantut Wholesale Market in Pahang.

In a Facebook post, the Malaysian Animal Association appealed to the public, urging them to assist in unveiling those responsible for the inhumane act.

"A reward of RM5,000 is being offered to anyone who can help unravel the perpetrators behind the brutal killing of these 15 poor kittens and demand justice to prevent similar atrocities from occurring in the future.

The shocking incident came to light yesterday following a report made by a concerned resiceopdent from Jerantut.

"Following that a formal police report was lodged at the Bali Jerantut police station today." the association said.

The association urged anyone with information, whether friends, family, or acquaintances, who might have knowledge of the individuals or groups involved to contact the Malaysia Animal Crime Transparency - MyAct via www.wasap.my/+60105394749.

The association also reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring confidentiality for those providing information and striving to ensure that those responsible are held accountable and face the full extent of the law.
